  • I can't live without .Mac. It's syncing features are insanely useful. I have three Macs. Putting in a single username and password into a Mac automatically gives you all your Safari, NetNewsWire, Transmit bookmarks, as well as keychains, address book, mail settings, iChat settings and calendars.

  • I would be happy with just addressing number 1. Speaking as a simi-professional musician, you can't afford not to have a MySpace page. Speaking as a professional web developer, you can stand being forced to look at such a horrible, ugly thing so often.

  • We've always had the option of running multiple platforms on one Mac. I've had Yellow Dog, Debian and now Ubuntu partitions on various Macs since I started using computers. Windows is the only one I haven't been able to get running natively.

  • I ask myself this every year. I like all the syncing features, the iDisk, and I use the email as a catch all address for my other accounts. The features aren't necessarily worth the cost at face value, but the seamless way they integrate with the OS is the reason I still have my account.
